This guide will cover the tier two Hunter's Log for Lancers for Final Fantasy XIV. There were a few monsters that I struggled to find when I went through this tier of the log. I marked all the locations I know of for each monster of this level of the log.
This first slide is on Central Shroud monsters. Only the first two monsters on the log can be found in Central Shroud, the Arbor Buzzard and the Treant Sapling. The Treant Sapling is labeled B on the map spawns individually in a few locations in the area close to town. The Arbor Buzzard labeled as A covers a lot of the area just north of the South Shroud zone line.
For this second section there are several monsters spread throughout the map. So I'll list the monster's and letters associated to them before a description.
- Treant Sapling - B
- Mandragora - C
- Wild Hog - D
- Lemur - E
- Boring Weevil - F
- Faerie Funguar - G
- Giant Gnat - H
- Boar Poacher - I
- Ziz Gorlin - J
- Black Bat - L
The hardest monster to find is the Boar Poacher, if you don't know where exactly to look. There are only two to three of these all in one little location. The spot is marked on the map. The other monster difficult to find is the Mandragora, there is a little encampment to the northwest of the camp. It is very easy to walk past these guys so just keep an eye out for them.
The rest of the monsters have a large group other than the randomly placed Treant Saplings near the western part of the zone. So just wander around the areas marked and you should be able to find them with no problems.
The monsters in the South Shroud spawn literally just into the zone from Central Shroud. Antelope Doe labeled M and Qiqirin Beater labeled K are the two monsters that you will need from this area. If you zone in from Central Shroud from the Arbor Buzzard spawn you won't be able to miss these two.
That wraps up the tier two Hunter's Log Guide for Lancer, tier three will be coming in the near future. If you have any questions comments or concerns about this guide please leave a comment below.
