Give the Key of Khaj-Nisut to an ideal character in Genshin Impact with the help of this guide.

The Key of Khaj-Nisut is a 5-star sword weapon in Genshin Impact. With boosts to HP and elemental mastery (EM), it’s something you’ll want for a top-tier fighter. It’s powerful if you can maximize its pairing. Here, we list the best characters to wield this weapon, as well as its stats and perks.

Best Genshin Impact Characters for Key of Khaj-Nisut

The best character for Key of Khaj-Nisut in Genshin Impact is none other than Nilou. This is her signature weapon, given that its banner is available only when she’s also featured.

Moreover, Nilou’s Bloom-centric abilities scale off her maximum HP. As of version 3.6, Key of Khaj-Nisut is the only sword that has HP% as a sub-stat, as well as a perk. The only comparable weapon is Primordial Jade Cutter, but that only has the HP% increase as a perk.

In short, Key of Khaj-Nisut offers the highest possible HP-stacking outcome among all options. This is improved further if you give Nilou the Vourukasha’s Glow and Tenacity of the Millelith artifacts. We’re not even talking about the EM gains yet, which also scale off the wielder’s max HP.

Apart from Nilou, the other best character for the Key of Khaj-Nisut in Genshin Impact is Kuki Shinobu. The healing from her elemental skill scales off her HP, as does the damage from her burst. Likewise, one of her passives buffs her elemental skill’s damage further based on her EM.

This coincides with the EM boost from the weapon’s perk. The only downside is that Kuki is a 4-star character — 5-star weapons are costly and are thus reserved for 5-star characters.

Apart from the two mentioned above, the last option is Layla, though we absolutely don’t recommend her at all. Layla makes use of her HP stat through her elemental skill, both for shield absorption and additional projectile damage. The problem is that Layla is considered a support hybrid who does fairly low damage. As such, giving her a 5-star weapon will be an absolute waste.

The Genshin Impact Key of Khaj-Nisut sword can only be obtained whenever its weapon banner is featured. Here are its stats and notable perks:

  • Perk: Sunken Song of the Sands: +20% HP; gain the Grand Hymn effect for 20 seconds after your elemental skill hits an enemy. Grand Hymn provides the following buffs:
    • Increases EM by 0.12% of the wearer’s max HP; can be triggered once every 0.3 seconds; maximum of three stacks.
    • Upon reaching three stacks or if the duration is refreshed, grant EM to all other party members equal to 0.2% of the wielder’s max HP; lasts 20 seconds.
  • Has HP% as a sub-stat; +542 ATK and +66.2% HP at level 90.
  • Refinement ranks increase the HP% and EM bonuses.

In any case, the Key of Khaj-Nisut sword is just one of many 5-star weapons that you can get via the wish/gacha mechanics in Genshin Impact. It’s a good pull if you have the right characters (just not for Layla!). For more, you may also be interested in our guide on the best characters for A Thousand Floating Dreams.
