Every weekly reset in Destiny 2, the playlist for the Nightfall rotates the activity that rewards some of the game’s rarest and best weapons and materials. Each week also brings a new Nightfall weapon. Here’s the Nightfall weapon this week, February 20 to February 27, 2024.
What’s the Nightfall Weapon This Week in Destiny 2?
This week, you’ll earn the Warden’s Law Hand Cannon. It’s a Heavy Burst weapon, a new archetype that gives high-powered Hand Cannons a two-shot burst. The Warden’s Law also has a solid selection of perks for PvE and PvP, making it a solid all-around weapon. It might not replace the iconic guns in either mode, but it can be a fantastic workhorse if you don’t care to change your loadout too much when playing.
How to Get the Warden’s Law This Week
To earn Warden’s Law, you’ll be farming the Psi Ops Battleground: Cosmodrome, originally released with the Season of the Risen during the Witch Queen expansion. Expect most runs to be in the 10-20 minute range, especially on higher difficulties.
Warden’s Law God Roll to Look For
Here’s one of the Warden’s Law god rolls you can grind for.
- Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine: Accurized Rounds
- Trait 1: Enlightened Action
- Trait 2: Kill Clip
With this roll, the Warden’s Law is fantastic in almost any activity, as the Enlightened Action perk removes some of its biggest drawbacks (Reload Speed and Handling) so long as you’re doing damage.
What are the Nightfall Modifiers This Week?
The modifiers for the Nightfall for February 20 to February 27 are fairly standard, and they work well with both Solar and Stasis builds.
- Stasis and Solar surges are active, increasing their outgoing damage by 25%.
- You’ll face Barrier and Unstoppable Champions.
- Void Threat is active, meaning you’ll take 25% more damage from Void sources.
What’s the Power Cap for This Week’s Nightfall?
Depending on the difficulty you choose, there will be a bevy of additional modifiers, like Equipment Lock, Extra Champions, and others. Your power level is also capped:
- Hero: Maximum power 1765
- Legend: Maximum power 1815
- Master: Maximum power 1820
That works out to a -5, -15, and -20 forced power differential, and at Legend and Master difficulties, matchmaking is off. Unless you can take on the Strike by your lonesome, bring a fireteam of competent teammates.
Good luck farming the Nightfall weapon this week. Hopefully, you nab the Warden’s Law with the roll you’re looking for, as neither are guaranteed rewards at any difficulty. For more D2 content, check out our guides hub.
