10 Video Game Themes Played on Minecraft Note Blocks

My favorite video game theme songs recreated with Minecraft note blocks.
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

To be perfectly honest, I haven’t worked with note blocks in Minecraft a whole lot (though I am proud of one inspired afternoon when I put together most of the first verse of Mary Had a Little Lamb before getting frustrated with all the clicking and giving up for good).

However, one of the great things about Minecraft is that there will always be a group of people who are dedicated to doing incredible things with any given feature. Thankfully, not everybody gives up at these things quite as easily as I do.

As I was looking through some note block compositions on YouTube, I noticed that many of my favorite video game themes had been recreated in note block form. I shouldn’t be surprised, but they totally blew me away. Here are some of my favorites:

1. Skyrim Theme

2. Angry Birds Theme

3. Tetris Theme

4. Portal Still Alive

5. Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Medley)

6. Pokemon Battle Theme

7. Super Smash Bros Dreamland Theme

8. Mario Medley

9. Zelda II Theme

10. Final Fantasy Chocobo Song
