If you enjoy fast-paced action, intense shootouts, and strategic gameplay but want to pew-pew on the go, there are some great shooters to check out on Android devices. Here’s my list of the Top 10 best shooting games on Android that have been dominating the market.
What are the 10 Best Android Shooting Games to Play Right Now?
10. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy (The Definitive Edition)
The mobile version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy (The Definitive Edition) seamlessly combines some of the best of Rockstar’s GTA collection in Grand Theft Auto III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas. The games feature updated lighting effects, better character models, and improved graphics, and I contend they look even better here than their console counterparts. Fortunately, the touch controls are easy to navigate and configure, making this a go-to experience on the go.
9. Call of Duty: Mobile
Call of Duty: Mobile offers an exciting and action-packed experience that brings the first-person shooting action of the console versions to Android devices. This is one of my favorites to play, as it features some of my favorite multiplayer modes in Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, and Battle Royale. Although the PC and console versions of the game have more weapons, there’s still a wide variety of weaponry, loadouts, and score streaks available here.
8. DustNet
DustNet is one of the more unique entries on my list. In it, you interact with real-world objects while exploring a shared virtual realm by way of the game’s augmented reality and geolocation mechanics. You can build virtual constructions together with other players, scavenge for resources, and participate in co-op missions. Oh, and the shooting’s tight, too.
7. 20 Minutes Till Dawn
The captivating story of 20 Minutes Till Dawn is extremely suspenseful and time-sensitive, with lots of high stakes. If you like shooters with choices that have immediate repercussions, you’ll love this game. The branching story plots kept me on the edge of my seat. And although some of the time limits seemed a bit too extreme for me, Android players who like to stay as focused as possible on accomplishing their tasks will be enthralled by 20 Minutes Till Dawn.
6. Gunfire Reborn
Gunfire Reborn is an engaging roguelite shooter that’s garnered acclaim on Steam, and this Android version is just as good. A high replayability factor and tough gameplay merge with smooth FPS and RPG elements in randomly generated levels to create a standout shooter. You deal with various boss encounters, defeat legions of enemies, and acquire strong weapons and skills by working in co-op or single modes.
5. Archero
If you enjoy more RNG-focused shooters, Archero might be right up your alley with its dynamically generated dungeons, bosses, and waves of enemies. Every dungeon run delivers a different and captivating experience because there are so many skills, weapons, and talents to unlock. I find Archero to be one of the most accessible Android games on this list because of its simple one-thumb controls and the fun visual style.
4. Goddess of Victory: Nikke
Here, you play as a team of fearless warriors led by the goddess Nikke. The breakneck action and set pieces set this one apart, and it has some of the finest visuals I’ve seen in an Android shooter. You also get access to various skills and weapons gifted by the goddess when you win the game’s most difficult fights, so if you’re after some serotonin, you’re in luck with this one. I highly recommend Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
3. Shadowgun Legends
Shadowgun Legends is a chaotic mobile shooter that sends you straight into the heat of dangerous battles against mechanized enemies (and some look just like Destiny 2‘s Cabal). Here, you take on the role of elite Shadowguns to fight extraterrestrial invaders, solve mysteries, and bring peace to through a hail of gunfire. You can also customize your characters, equip them with various futuristic weapons, and engage in multiplayer combat with your friends online.
2. Fortnite Mobile
If you play Fortnite on a PC or console, then you also probably play it on your mobile device, too. But if not, the immensely popular battle royale from Epic Games delivers on mobile with its colorful visual style and addictive action. In addition to the battle royale mode, Fortnite provides you with a creative sandbox environment where you can create intricate constructions and socialize during virtual interactions. The sheer popularity of Fortnite is impossible to overlook, so be sure to join in if you still haven’t.
1. Apex Legends Mobile
I believe that Apex Legends Mobile is currently the best Android shooter on the market. One of the main reasons is that it’s not a port of the PC version but a standalone mobile game. That said, this is just as good as the PC version regarding gameplay, perks, and character roster. Lastly, it receives just as many high-quality updates as the PC version, with tons of new unlockables. So, there’s no denying that the expanding universe of Apex Legends Mobile is here to stay.
