If you paid attention at all to the front page during June, you should have seen a ton of E3 related articles by our contributors (myself among them) who went to the event.
I have been going to cons for a little under a decade and I have to say, it feels great wearing a press badge. When you attend a con as a normal attendee, you’re subject to the same rules for every other schmuck in the venue.
When you go as media, you get to do things (at least at E3) like schedule meetings with publishers and developers, get access to press kits, and even get to access the show floor without waiting in line.
How did I get Press Access to an event like that?
Simple: by writing for GameSkinny!
If you regularly contribute to GameSkinny, you too might be able to get a press badge for an upcoming gaming convention. When you create lots of great stuff, you become a Featured Contributor with access to the Lounge where Media Passes are just part of the perks.
