It’s that time of year again; the Dragon Slayer Awards are up!
Community Manager of the Year has 16 people up for the prize: World of Warcraft Community Manager, Nethaera, is one of them.
As part of the North American World of Warcraft Community Team, Nethaera (on occasion “Neth,” or Candle) works on the forums as the lovely Blue Posts we get our official news from.
On Twitter, she is always happy to talk with fans, most recently about the PTR and patch 5.4 Proving Grounds. On WoW, she plays mainly on PVP, RP-PVP and PVE servers. She is well-known for playing a Priest, in all three specs.
Though she is married, Nethaera gets some attention from the male players of WoW–but Danielle Vanderlip (her real name) always keeps it professional. As one of few women working as the face of Blizzard (and certainly one of the only ones in the spotlight) I cannot stress how awesome she is for putting up with a male-heavy working environment; she rocks!
Nethaera has received a well deserved nomination for the Community Manager Award, she is a rocking priest that loves emoticons and is always happy to give advice.
