Gaming as a Homeschool Supplement

We're starting a home school meets gaming journey.
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

To me, gaming is all about the adventure. I love seeing where I will end up at the end of the game and what I have learned along the way. My family is taking a new adventure this year. I will be homeschooling my youngest in pre-K. I’ve never done any sort of home school so this is a huge challenge to me and I am seeking ways to make it more fun and inviting to my four-year-old.

And Gaming Applies to this How?

I am seeking to find a way to supplement the regular learning curriculum with things my child enjoys, and she loves playing video games. Keeping a little one’s attention on a subject at hand is difficult enough and I find that making it fun for them will hold their attention longer. I will be looking at various games and testing them out with my daughter over the year starting in September.

I will be chronicling our adventures in Gaming and Homeschool as we go along. Do you have any suggestions I could try or games you are interested in from a learning standpoint? Share them with me and join me on this great new journey!
