Microsoft brought us the Kinect, Nintendo brought us the Wii and Wii U, and it’s entirely possible that Google will bring us the next installment in integrated gaming: the Google Glass.
Sure, this video shows it being used for mostly social and sharing purposes, but what’s to stop Google Glass from becoming the future of interactive gaming? It’s entirely possible that in a few years, your next game could be played in your living room–or hell, even on the streets–through these glasses.
The opportunities for applications are endless–and many companies have a head start on great ideas for Google Glass. While no one’s stepped up with anything official or even hypothetical yet, I’d bet big bucks that they’re definitely watching Glass closely to see what develops.
For example, ThereIsaCanal, a Youtube channel created by two Israeli filmmakers, made this “demo” of what Google Glass might do with the title Battlefield 5.
I would absolutely love to see something like this come to life. What would you like to see on Google Glass? Comment below, or tweet us @Gameskinny!
