The Legacy Challenge has a host of intricate details and a rather lengthy ruleset, but don’t be intimidated! I’ve had more fun with the game during this challenge than I thought I would, and you might too.

Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to create a family legacy worth being proud of through 10 generations of sims. You start impoverished with no house on a 50×50 lot, and must work your family’s way to the top through the generations based on the challenge’s guidelines and your chosen succession laws.

While playing through the Legacy Challenge and adhering to its rules, you must also keep score based on a large list of factors.

If you’ve done the Legacy Challenges for any of the previous games in The Sims series, you’ll be right at home with the variation Pinstar worked up for The Sims 4.

You can fully learn how to get started on The Sims Legacy Challenge Rules page of Pinstar’s site. Be sure to read on succession laws, scoring, and gameplay rules before you begin!

My legacy is going strong on generation five with a strict equality gender law, traditional bloodline law, and exemplar heir law. What about yours?
