Oh boy, Tomb Raider. When I look at how many games have been released for it since I last played Tomb Raider: the Last Revelation for the Sega Dreamcast, I wonder where all the time has gone.
Laura Croft was one of the biggest characters in the world of gaming, but it seems like her last several releases have gone through the pipeline without much fanfare. However, with the effort Square Enix is pumping into the new game, slated for March, Laura might once again return to the spotlight.
Alongside the game, Dark Horse is publishing Tomb Raider: the Beginning, a prequel comic to the upcoming release. If you’re a sucker for preorder bonuses, pick this one up at Best Buy and you’ll receive a hardcopy version of the comic.
I’m normally not that into Tomb Raider, but I’ll admit, I’m tempted to pick this one up. It looks like they’re pouring a lot into this game in order to revive the series’ original popularity. Here’s to hoping it’s a success.
