Here we are again the start of the gaming season. With September and October behind us now and some great games released we sit in November. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of games coming out that are Triple A titles. A couple are actually ranked the highest selling series. Just my opinion they are overdone and time for something new.
Games with Gold, oh how you could be so much more. The reason this is brought up in the month of repeats is for the games they have been releasing on the X1. It seems as though there is only one new game a month and the other is recycled. STOP with the recycled games already. We were told two free games a month they should not be the same.
First week of November has brought a big launch, also one of the ones I was talking about, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Call of Duty used to be fun. I was a HUGE fan of Call of Duty 4, after all it revolutionized how we played shooters. It was amazing seeing your hard work for kills pay off with killstreaks. However, it seems every year here comes another game in the series. I compare this to just another entry in the major sports games that come out every year. A minor change to a gun, a little variant in the maps, and oh look a new bush. I did end up purchasing the game, although I haven’t played it yet, it seems that it will probably be a disappointment.
November 11 marks another one of the games I was referring to as a Triple A repeat. This one I will not be getting as I haven’t even put in more than five hours in the last installment. Assassin’s Creed Unity looks amazing, as they always do. The trailers for the series always makes it look so much fun. Upon purchasing it and installing you realize that it is again just another Assassin’s Creed installment.
I know I will be crucified for speaking out against the two major games that are launched this month. They both have a massive fan base and are enormous cash cows, but how long until the cows are dry? Keep in mind there are other games coming out this month that are new installments to great franchises don’t get caught up playing the same game you played the last seven years.
