As an editor at GameSkinny, it’s my (totally awesome) job to sit here behind the internet and tweak titles, fix typos, and make sure stuff has tags. I do a lot of editing, but I don’t always get to write.
Well, in light of this grievance, I’m kicking off two new series–both of which I’m excited about.
Superscary: Horror Games is going to be my take on some of the best horror games–titles that will scare the pants off of you, creep you out, make you want to rip out your own eyeballs or give you Goosebumps.
(That’s capitalized for obvious reasons.)
I’ll help you find some of the scariest games out there, while helping you avoid busts and flops. This series will kick off October 1st, 2013, and will continue on until I get tired of it. I’ll be taking suggestions as to anything you’d like to see reviewed or any piece you’d like to know more about–trust me, I’ve seen almost all of it.
Feel free to recommend anything you think will scare me!
To help you gain perspective on the tools and experience you’ll need to succeed in the gaming journalism industry, I’ll be interviewing a successful/established writer once every two weeks. I’ll ask them questions about how they got to where they are, what they enjoy, what they hate, practices to avoid, and key things you can improve.
Gaming Jobs: How Journalists, Writers & Reporters got their Breaks will happen every first and third Friday of the month. Have some authors you’d like to see interviewed? Feel free to leave any ideas down below in the comments section! This series will kick off on September 20th, 2013.
Stay tuned for these debuts! Your input and opinions will be cherished like sweet bundles of precious puppies.
