Open-world first person shooter with a huge lore-heavy world to explore.  Gameplay is heavy on social experiences between both friends and enemies.

Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor, Monolith.

Set to take place between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings at the onset of the return of Sauron to Middle Earth.  Players control Talion, a once Ranger now Wraith on his quest for revenge and attempts to destroy Sauron's army.

This version has disregarded the standard military game play for a classic cops and robbers game.

Four-versus-one combat against a giant beast.  Kind of like Left 4 Dead except with monsters instead of zombies.

Fun and stylish energy-drink-induced zombie apocalypse with bright colors, creative weapons, a sense of humor, and insanity.

Set in the French Revolution with a third of the game being a four-player co-op.

Himalayan setting with battle elephants that can either be ridden or sent into camps like missiles.  Yeah, looks about as good as it sounds.

Updated version of the classic brawl game with familiar (Mario and Luigi) and new (Pac Man) playable characters.

No Man's Sky, Hello Games

PS4

Science fiction adventure game with an entire universe to explore.  Jump off a rocket ship and explore entire planets and the species that inhabit them.

Batman: Arkham Knight, Rocksteady Studios

Newer Batman game with all the usual tricks, taking down the bad guys of Gotham City, but now a Batmobile that can turn into a tank.
