The Witcher 3 left E3 last week with a great reception. After an excellent Expo Debut, it seems the latest installment in The Witcher series was one of the top games of the event. Its developer has released some more info on this title.
The Witcher 3 is a fantasy RPG, the third in the series. It follows a non-linear story. CD Projekt RED, the dev team behind The Witcher series, redesigned the combat of the game specifically to bring together the traditional idea of RPG fighting with that of some classic fighting games.
In-game, the price of goods have been updated to vary depending on the area the player is in, or where the character is from.
Adam Badowski, CD Projekt RED Studio Head, had this to say about the game’s success post E3:
“Humble as we are, we were amazed by the volume of positive feedback we received during E3. That’s why we would like to sincerely thank everyone for taking the time to watch the Gameplay Debut Trailer! We want to promise you one thing – The Witcher 3 will rock and we’re making it rock for you!”
The game won 49 awards, some of the most important being “Best Game of E3”, “Best RPG of E3” and “Editor’s Choice”, from gaming magazines and websites worldwide, and this count will only increase as the game gains more success.
