I had a great time at E3 on Day 1 and didn’t think it was possible for it to be equaled, but somehow yesterday topped it. Day 2 was amazing for so many different reasons.
I woke up after only getting three hours of sleep (which is what I will be getting after writing this.) I felt awful; I could almost feel the con flu creeping its way into my body. Then I remembered I was heading to E3 and I willed the grogginess out of me by the time I headed out the door.
This time around, I had a ride and did not need to rely on public transportation. It cut my trip time in a third which was great because it meant I could both sleep in a bit longer and still make it in time to line up for the George Kamitani Dragon’s Crown print signing.
The Atlus booth logo and the line for the Kamitani signing.
The wait was well worth it. The print looks awesome and it has Kamitani’s autograph on it instantly making it fantastic. It will be displayed in my room shortly after E3 when I can figure out where to put it on my wall and how to put it on there without damaging the print.
After the signing, I made a dash for the Namco Bandai booth to see if I could schedule a last minute meeting to try out Dark Souls II. By some stroke of luck, I managed to get fit in before I had my meeting with Daedalic Entertainment.
E3 Day 2 was my day filled with a lot of booth meetings. I did Namco Bandai, Daedalic Entertainment, and Snail Games. The latter two will be written about tonight in detail. Spoiler: both companies are putting out some brilliant games.
When I wasn’t in a prescheduled meeting at E3, I was wandering around the booths trying to get my hands on as much as possible. I got a chance to play Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, Warframe for the Playstation 4, Sonic Lost World, Black Gold, and Castle of Illusion, as well as getting a chance to look at Blackguards and Goodbye Deponia. All of this will be written about tonight, as well.
Unlike Tuesday’s run in with Mega64 and Ashley Birch and Smooth McGroove sightings, besides the Kamitani signing, I did not catch anybody too famous. However, I did get a nice amount of swag. I think it’s a pretty fair trade off.
Due to most of yesterday being filled with meetings and gameplay demos, I don’t have too much to write about other than the fact that I had an absolute blast. So, just get hype to read the rest of my impressions of E3 demos and showings and enjoy some pictures I took.
