YouTuber creates video game music channel, trolls perfectly

YouTuber GilvaSunner has created a joke so perfect, it's hard to tell if it's even a joke.
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

A YouTube channel owned by user GilvaSunner created early January already has over 25 thousand subscribers and close to 6 million views. This shouldn’t be too shocking, since the page is dedicated to releasing, “high quality rips of favorite Nintendo songs”. That’s something that would always be in demand right?

Right…

Let’s take a look at some of these nostalgic favorites. Oh hey, it’s Undertale, a modern classic with an amazing score.

Weird, I don’t remember Undertale sounding so much like the Flintstones

Hey the Ace Attorney games! Those are my favorite games of all time; I genuinely bought my Nintendo DS just to play the first one. Let’s have a listen.

I swear to all that is holy this channel is going to give me night terrors.

What’s worse is I can’t stop watching. The way the videos are presented with all the official information, the way it’s just hidden right in there in the song, the fact that every time it happens a little bit of me dies inside. I’m clearly developing some sort of complex based on subjecting myself to this.

To be fair, some of these songs are actually really catchy remixes, while others are downright horrifying.

I can’t even be mad about this type of trolling. It’s so innocent and well conceived. There will be a time in the future where I’ll be looking for a song from my favorite games and I won’t take the time to look who posted it and have a good laugh.

I was wrong, I’m incredibly angry.
