6 The Witcher Netflix Mods to Make the Game More Like the Show

You know you want to add Toss A Coin To Your Witcher to the game soundtrack or to make Geralt look like Henry Cavill in-game? These mods for The Witcher 3 will make your game more like the Netflix show.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

It's very possible you've been watching The Witcher on Netflix and want to mod your copy of The Witcher 3 to bring all that Henry Cavill sexiness to the game. Well good news: You can, and you can do it right now. Crazy, right?

Strangely there's no mod yet that causes the game to skip around to different eras between each quest and make the timelines all confusing. But maybe we'll get one eventually.

For now, you can get Toss A Coin To Your Witcher and other iconic Netflix tunes in your game, as well as add in a variety of series-specific mechanics and imagery. Let's take a look at the six best Netflix Witcher show mods currently available.

Toss A Coin To Your Witcher

If you haven't been humming this tune for weeks, are you even alive? Toss A Coin To Your Witcher is currently giving Baby Yoda a run for his money as the biggest pop culture phenomena invading social media. Maybe one day we'll get a mashup of the two?

Right now, the bard's infamous song only appears in the main menu screen of The Witcher 3, but a new update is in the works so it will play in the background when you enter a tavern — as it should!

Netflix Soundtrack

While waiting on Toss A Coin To Your Witcher to show up in taverns, you can still add several songs from the TV show soundtrack to the base game.

It shouldn't be much surprise this was one of the first mods to arrive after the series hit Netflix, as the Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli-composed songs are a highlight of the TV experience.

These tracks aren't just added to The Witcher 3's existing lineup of sounds — they actually replace songs. Only go with this one if you don't mind losing several entries from the existing music.

Netflix Armor

While the show pulls from the original Andrzej Sapkowski books more than from the actual Witcher game franchise from CD Projekt Red, some of the aesthetic choices in the show have still been a point of debate for fans.

The original costume test that made its way to Twitter had Witcher fanatics pretty upset that Henry Cavill looked like a Dollar Store knock-off Legolas, and thankfully, that version of the outfit and wig was jettisoned before production.

The end result was more impressive, and now some of the Netflix show's outfits can be used by Geralt of Rivia by re-texturing the Standard Kaer Morhen Outfit, Hunting Trousers, and Griffin Gloves.

Dynamic Toxic Black Eyes

Netflix's version of The Witcher makes a point to include Geralt's regular potion usage, although the show itself doesn't (as of the first season anyway) explain what any of those potions actually accomplish.

There is a clear visual side effect, though, as Henry Cavill's eyes frequently change color and his pupils dilate while fighting monsters under the effects of any given potion.

To mimic the toxicity mechanic, this mod makes Geralt's eyes go black and wide just like in the episodes. It replaces the mask slot in your equipment though, so note you can't wear another mask without deactivating the mod.

The Last Wish Netflix Icon Replacement

OK, so this one is such a little change that it may not necessarily be a "mod" per se, but it is up for download at Nexus Mods, and it does offer more of a Netflix show motif.

All this does is give you .ico file of the Netflix version of The Witcher symbol. That means you can replace your desktop icon of The Witcher 3 executable shortcut to look like the show.

Not a huge change by any means, but if you really love the series, this is one way to show it straight on your desktop!

Henry Cavill Reskin

If that very hilariously thirsty Anne Rice tweet didn't tip you off, the world is obsessed with a certain actor who's muscles kept breaking through his costume armor.

There are already a plethora of Henry Cavill mods available to make Geralt look more like the actor, but this is one of the best ones with the butt chin and everything.

Those are all the best Netflix Witcher mods we've found so far since the first season of the show came online.

There's no doubt dozens more are incoming in the next few weeks (and hopefully many more than that when The Witcher season 2 release date is revealed).

Have you seen any others we missed that should have made the list? Let us know what needs to be added, and be sure to drop us a comment if you download any of these mods for The Witcher 3!
