The game’s first planet after the introduction sequence in the scrap yard is Bogano, which tasks you with making your way toward an Ancient Vault. Once you’ve found your way inside and heard Jedi Eno Cordova’s secret message, make your way back to your ship.

Along the way, BD-1 will scan a wall covered in red markings inside the abandoned workshop, and a short recording from Cordova will mention Dathomir. Head back to the Mantis, and you’ll find two new planets unlocked on your holotable: Zeffo and Dathomir.

Dathomir, the hostile home planet of the infamous Darth Maul, is the perfect location to pick up the double bladed lightsaber attachment. The enemies here are particularly tough, but you can always drop your difficulty in the main menu if things get too hairy.

Once you land on Dathomir, there will only be one route onto a large island known as the Strangled Cliffs. Head to the right, and you’ll find stairs and a short wall run section leading to a wall of vines.

Climb the vines to enter the Upper Strangled Cliffs, then head down the slope until you see a large, imposing entrance in the red cliff face.

Inside, you’ll have your first run-in with a Nightsister and her goons. Continue straight into Brother’s Bastion and across the swinging vines.

From here, your path is linear; keep clearing out the Nightbrothers until you reach a door that unlocks a shortcut back to the start of Brother’s Bastion.

Just to the right of there, there will be a mysterious hooded figure across a short jump. Drop down and head down the stairs to the left.

Immediately inside the next house will be a workbench that unlocks the double bladed lightsaber when you interact with it.

How to Use the Double Bladed Lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Once you unlock the double bladed lightsaber, activating it is simple. To switch between single-blade and double blade, all you have to do is press two different buttons.

  • PS4: Press right on the directional pad for double bladed; press left for single-blade
  • Xbox One: Press right on the directional pad for double bladed; press left for single-blade
  • PC: Press “C” for double bladed; press “X” for single-blade

Switching gives you the best of both worlds, as the default version of the lightsaber provides you with greater mobility and better 1-on-1 damage.

The game will tell you that the double bladed lightsaber is designed for crowd control, by which it means cauterizing death, of course – the best type of CC!

It excels at dealing with groups of enemies, with quick flurries that keep your enemies on the back foot. It can also reflect multiple blaster bolts, particularly useful against those enemies with LMG blasters.
