Forza Horizon 5 Rarest Cars and How to Unlock Them

Here is a list of some of the rarest cars in Forza Horizon 5, as well as methods on how to unlock them all.

The rarest cars in Forza Horizon 5 are on every collector’s to-do list, and they’re as difficult to get as you might imagine. There are several vehicles in the game that cost gargantuan amounts of money, but they cannot be simply purchased on Autoshow or Auction.

This guide will list some of the rarest cars in Forza Horizon 5, and explain how to unlock them all. A few of these cars can be really hard to get due to the nature of their rewards, but since they are highly valuable on the market, completionists will want to put all the effort to get them.

The Rarest Cars in Forza Horizon 5

Ferrari 250 GTO

Forza Horizon 5 Ferraria 250 GTO

The rarest car in Forza Horizon 5 is also the most expensive vehicle in the game at 50 million credits. It’s not surprising at all, since this car cannot be purchased or acquired in any other way except finding it in the wilderness of Mexico.

You will find Ferrari 250 GTO on the eastern coast inside a barn located in the Los Jardines (see the marker on the map above for the exact location of the barn). Fortunately, there is also a fast travel point nearby, so you will have no trouble getting there.

Mercedes-Benz W154

Forza Horizon 5 Mercedes-Benz W154

This pre-war German racing car is a real gem for all the fans of vintage vehicles. Although it can’t compare to the more recent models in terms of speed and other parameters, it is still one of the rarest and most unique cars in Forza Horizon 5.

There is only one way to get this car, and that is to complete the entire Mercedes-Benz car collection. This means that you need to collect all 23 Mercedes-Benz vehicles that are available in the game in order to unlock the W154 model.

Ford GT40 Mk I

Forza Horizon 5 Fored GT40 MK I

Here is another vintage race car, which was produced in the USA in 1964. The same rule applies here, and you need to collect all 58 Ford vehicles in order to receive GT40 Mk I as an achievement reward.

That’s a lot of cars and it may take you a while before you get them all. If you’re asking yourself if any of this is worth it, then consider the price tag of GT40 Mk I in Forza Horizon 5, which is 11 million credits, and that is a lot of money. As always, you can sell it later on through Auction House.

Ferrari F40 Competizione

Forza Horizon 5 Competizione

Watch out for another extremely rare Ferrari model that is hidden inside a barn at the southeastern coast of Mexico.

You will have to drive to the Pantano de la Selva location and follow to the spot indicated by the marker on the map above, or fast travel to Tulum location and drive in the western direction until you reach the needed spot.

In any case, Ferrari F40 needs to be in the garage of any racing car connoisseur, so go and grab that doll of a car.

Ferrari LaFerrari

Forza Horizon 5 LaFerrari

Besides the two models hidden in the barns, Ferrari also has its own car collector reward in the form of Ferrari LaFerrari. In order to unlock this unique car you need to collect all 26 Ferrari cars that are available in Forza Horizon 5.

You can purchase most of these cars on the Autoshow, and three of them you can win by completing the following accolades:

  • Wheels of Experience (Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale)
  • A Class Elite (Ferrari 430 Scuderia)
  • Fastest Photographer in Mexico (Ferrari GTC4Lusso)

Lamborghini Reventon

Forza Horizon 5 Reventon

The last car collector reward vehicle on our list is Lamborghini Reventon. Fortunately, there aren’t that many cars to collect as in the case with Ford or Ferrari. You will have to get hold of 16 Lamborghini vehicles in order to unlock this car.

Once again, most of the Lamborghini models can be purchased via Autoshow, and two cars can be unlocked by completing the following accolades:

  • Eliminating Spree (Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce)
  • Rampage (Lamborghini Urus)

Lamborghini Diablo GTR

Forza Horizon 5 Diablo GTR

Although there aren’t that many cars in the Lamborghini collection, the Diablo GTR model cannot be purchased or unlocked during accolades. But you still need it, if you want to unlock the Reventon model mentioned above.

You can unlock Lamborghini Diablo GTR only through the car mastery perk for Lamborghini Diablo SV. Follow these steps to unlock it:

  1. Go to “Cars” menu
  2. Select “Car Mastery” tab
  3. Select Lamborghini Diablo SV skill tree
  4. Unlock car mastery perks until you get Diablo GTR

You can unlock car mastery perks using skill points that can be earned via Skill Chains, which are acquired by completing a series of speed tricks on the road while driving.
