2013 E3: Black Gold Online Trailer

E3 2013 Trailer for Black Gold, a steam-punk MMO that fights for oil?

From the developers of Age of Wushu, Snail Games presents Black Gold Online. At E3 you could have played this game at Snail Games’ booth (would’ve been sweet if I was there). Both a steampunk and fantasy theme are mixed into this mech-filled MMO.

In Black Gold, there are two factions. There are the steam-punk Isenhorst and the sorcery-type Erlandirs. The focus of the game is that there is only so much “Black Gold” left in the world and both sides are in constant war for this sole resource.

Oddly, like oil in the real world, hmm..

Anyway, on either faction that you pick when you play the game, you can chose one out of the three races for your character. Isenhorst offers Dwarves, Humans, and Vampires, while the Erlandir had more normal humans, a feline humanoid race, and shapeshifters. How’s that for a match up? Vampires versus cat-men!

Even better, the developers also mentioned how you could have a steam-punk robo-puppy and eventually it would grow up to be a steampunk motorcycle for you to ride around on.

That couldn’t be any more crazy if I had said it with my pants over my head. But hey, we could all use a robo-puppy that turns into a motorcycle. Unfortunately, Black Gold will not be released until next year. Have fun daydreaming about something else this crazy!
