Age of Wushu is finally seeing its box release after officially launching earlier this month. The boxed version, which is being sold exclusively at GameStop, has a handful of in-game goodies for those of you looking to get a good start on your wuxia adventure, including an adventure with Jet Li.
Included in the boxed edition of Age of Wushu are:
- 30 days of Jianghu VIP status
- $20 worth of in-game currency
- Reputation boost scrolls
- Vanity outfits
- Experience and Chi pills
- An exclusive mount
- Single-player Twilight Village Adventure featuring Jet Li
Yeah, that last part caught me off-guard too.
This is honestly a pretty good deal for those of you interested in getting into the game. The boxed release only costs $19.99. VIP status significantly increases your character growth, among several other things. Since you get $20 if in-game currency with the box anyway, everything else is an additional bonus to a normally straight-forward purchase.
What’s wuxia?
I wondered this after seeing so much on Age of Wushu, so I decided to look it up. Wuxia is essentially the martial arts genre. Jet Li, Tony Leung, and Jackie Chan are all examples of typically cast wuxia (martial arts hero) protagonists in films. The more you know!
