UK Microsoft fans who have not yet pre-ordered the next gen console will have to wait, at least if they want to purchase from Amazon.
Amazon.co.uk has sold out of its Day One Edition of the console, saying that “due to high demand, we are now out of stock of the Day One Edition Xbox One console and will not be taking further orders.”
Interested parties can still buy the Standard Edition, but they will not be guaranteed their console on release day. And will have to wait and unknown amount of time for their next gen console.
This news follows an August 6th announcement by Sony that European orders of the PS4 are no longer guaranteed for launch-day delivery. The same warning for the Xbox One is listed on the Amazon UK page for the Playstation 4, with the note “we will ship orders as soon as we receive sufficient inventory.”
