It’s been a month since ARK: Survival of the Fittest was released on the PC, and the user base is already pretty massive. On July 19th, PlayStation 4 owners will finally have the chance to find their tribes and fight some dinosaurs. Check out the announcement trailer below:
Fighting for supplies to survive and riding fire-breathing dinosaurs? Color me interested.
In addition to bringing the first “Multiplayer Online Survival Arena” to the PlayStation 4, Studio Wildcard is implementing console gameplay elements to ARK: Survival of the Fittest that are absent from the PC version. Such elements include: splitscreen, local LAN play, and even bots to allow players to have a solo experience if they want.
Finally, Studio Wildcard announced they’ll be bringing the Survivor League to PlayStation 4 as well. The Survivor League keeps track of the top players in all available game modes and will award cash prizes, as well as qualifications to the ARK: Survival of the Fittest invitationals and any other future ARK related events. You can view Studio Wildcard’s announcement here.
Unfortunately, there is still no word on whether ARK: Survival Evolved will be making the jump over to PlayStation 4 as well, which is a shame since PC and Xbox One players have had early access to the game since last year.
Time to tame some dinos, forge your best weapons and, come July 19th, may the best tribe survive.
