For the last few days, Tyrone Rodriguez – developer of The Binding of Isaac, has been releasing teasers of an upcoming version of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth for the iOS. On February 4th, Tyrone posted a picture of the game being played on an iPad. However, on February 6th, Tyrone posted the following tweet on Twitter:
C’mon, wtf… Apple pic.twitter.com/aEygkjqH2b

Much to the dismay of The Binding of Isaac fans, the game will not be coming to iOS as originally planned. Needless to say, Tyrone was quite upset by the Apple Review statement. Fans of the game also began replying to his tweet with images of other games that depicted violence against children (some more amusing than others).
This eventually came full circle with Tyrone posting about another game that depicts violence against children.

It’s certainly arguable that The Binding of Isaac is a lot more violent towards the game’s protagonist than Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead: Season Two. Nevertheless, it is certainly disappointing that the game was prevented from coming to the App Store considering it has been released on nearly every single gaming platform except for iOS.
What do you guys think about this decision by Apple? Would you have bought yet another copy of The Binding of Isaac if it were released on iOS? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below!
