After the disappointment following the ending of Mass Effect 3, it’s no surprise that fans’ faith in BioWare is waning.
However, with the release of the brand new Dragon Age: Inquisition trailer, players’ excitement can be observed across multiple social media platforms.
With hype for the latest title in the Dragon Age series skyrocketing, it’s safe to say that the release trailer for the game has done its job. Featuring a dramatic, new plotline; changes to dragon combat; beautiful, aesthetic backgrounds; and some insane new monsters called the “Breach.”
Perhaps the most anticipated section of the trailer is the release date–October 7.
Dragon Combat
According to an interview with IGN, dragon combat was a significant focus in the development of the game. Some dragons will have different stats, such as “elements, armor types, and properties.” This will require players to approach skirmishes with these elegant beasts differently each time, especially now that where you hit the creatures will actually matter.
About The Story
In Dragon Age: Inquisition, you’ll be playing as the inquisitor himself, the sole survivor of a catastrophic explosion that killed tens of thousands. As the only hope to restore order to Thedas, you must close the rift that the explosion created. A rift that, consequently, is spewing unknown creatures into the Dragon Age world.
Will You Forgive BioWare?
With many fans still in an uproar over Mass Effect 3, there have been comments left and right swearing off an allegiance to BioWare. On the other hand, with obvious excitement over the Dragon Age: Inquisition trailer on the rise, it seems like BioWare has won back a majority of its fans.
Will you be giving the new Dragon Age a chance? Or will the Mass Effect backlash prevent you from pre-ordering the fantasy RPG?
