Bioware is offering fans a rare and exciting chance to voice some characters for their upcoming sic-fi RPG, Mass Effect: Andromeda. According to IGN, the game has two minor character roles up for grabs and Bioware is looking for some lucky fans to offer their voice talent for them.

Bioware has made the scripts for the two characters available for the fans, and if fans wish to compete, they’ll have to record themselves reading the script. It can be submitted through audio or video, and they’ll have to send it Bioware afterwards.

Bioware has also made it very clear what they’re looking for, saying “your entry will be judged on the quality of your voice performance and how well it matches the Mass Effect style.”

The deadline is September 28 for fans who are interested. The fans who make the cut will be notified before November 30. Transportation will be provided to Bioware’s recording studios, where the winners will perform in a professional recording session. Hotel privileges will also be provided.

As for the two characters, one is named Jordan Tate, “a smart and talented indie documentarian eager to give the real perspective on life in Andromeda.” The other character, who has no name at the moment, is described as a “Tough Mercenary,” and whoever is lucky enough to play him will have dialogue described as “about some of the difficulties of living on the frontier and being pioneers in a new world.”

This all sounds very interesting, and may be a once in a lifetime opportunity for Mass Effect fans. Anyone who has voice talent should definitely consider this, because millions of others will hear them in the game, itself.
