Black Gold Online is making its way to the West under publisher Snail Games, and the official English site is up and running for those interested in the upcoming steampunk MMO. While the official site is currently lacking in extensive information, there is a bit to be found in its depths and more is to be announced over the next few days during E3.
Black Gold Online will be using the same engine as Snail Games’ best-known MMORPG, Age of Wushu. According to the official site, the game will span over 300 square kilometers with dynamic, server-affecting events. It also boasts 6 races, 6 basic classes, and 18 advanced character classes to choose from; though detailed information is scarce at the time for writing.
The Chinese version of the game is currently in beta in its native country of China, but looks to be making its way to North America and Europe sometime over the coming months. We may be looking at an autumn release, but it is more likely we will see Black Gold Online fully launch either late this year or early 2014.
