Bloodborne DLC: After Old Hunters, that might be all

It seems that FromSoftware is going all out for their Old Hunters DLC, but it might be the only new adventure in the land of Yharnam.

During Tokyo Game Show 2015 and the PlayStation conference, FromSoftware showed off The Old Hunters DLC for the PS4’s top-selling game, Bloodborne. However, it seems that Old Hunters might be the only DLC FromSoftware has planned for Bloodborne.

Recently, Eurogamer interviewed Masaaki Yamagiwa, Sony Japan’s producer, and he gave some backstory about Bloodborne’s new DLC and the future of Bloodborne itself. Yamagiwa discussed that Sony and FromSoftware were originally planning two DLC expansions, but decided to combine the two into one large expansion. Yamagiwa revealed the reasoning behind this decision:

“…we’d be able to do more with it, and have more volume for players to play with…As of right now, we have no plans for any more DLC.”

From Yamagiwa’s remark, it seems that there might be a oppurtunity for more DLC, but that it’s unlikely. Still, the fact is that Old Hunters will be full of enough action and grizzly monsters for two separate DLCs. According to FromSoftware at TGS, The Old Hunters will be as difficult as the second half of the main campaign, and that it will feature three new areas, ten new weapons, and some new NPCs.

Looks like From Software has some new toys for Bloodborne fans.

Bloodborne is already a fantastic game with vast areas and unique, grotesque monsters roaming its streets. It seems that the expansion will be playable during the first half of the game after the player meets certain, unrevealed conditions.

During TGS, Shuhei Yoshida stated that the DLC will be a “full-scale download” that will launch on November 24th for $19.99/€14.99/£11.99. Additionally, there will be an Old Hunters Edition of the original game hitting shelves on December 5th. Clearly FromSoftware is giving fans the best of the best and bringing quality, instead of quantity, for their DLC.

The first console/gaming device I can remember owning was a Gameboy Advance and I loved my Pokemon Silver game to death.
