Caffeine Now on Unreal 4 Engine

Dylan Browne is updating his upcoming horror game, Caffeine, from Unreal 3 to the Unreal 4 engine.

Dylan Browne, developer of the new psychological horror game Caffeine, has released a demo showing updates from the Unreal 3 engine to Unreal 4. The current demo focuses on the redesigned, updated graphics. Plans are to upgrade to a playable demo.

About the Game

Players wake in a caffeine mining station. It seems no one else is around but the character, a young boy.  Players will have to use the environment and their wiles to discover what happened to the rest of the people aboard the station. Puzzles will be a big part of gameplay.

Caffeine will have the following support built-in:

  • Controller
  • Oculus Rift
  • Stereoscopic 3D

The game will be available for Windows at launch. Browne is also looking into the possibilities on releasing to the following platforms:

  • Mac
  • Linux
  • PlayStation 4
  • Xbox One.
