Organizers of 2017’s event are looking for expert talks for the design track at the conference. In particular, deep and insightful high quality game design talks aimed at professional game designers are what organizers are looking for most. Topics for talks could range from the nuts and bolts design problems that accompany character ability tuning, the production side of design or the aesthetic side of design, but all design topics are welcome for submissions.

Other talks that explain and explore the impact of new developments in hardware and platforms and also how these changes will influence game design are also welcomed.

The conference, which claims to be the largest and longest-running event dedicated to the art and science of making games, held its inaugural meeting in 1988. It was originally called the Computer Game Developers Conference.

Submissions can be made on the GDC website until August 18.
