Call of Duty 2 Now Playable on Xbox One

A Call of Duty game has been added to the Xbox One, but it's not the one everybody wanted.

Another day and another game has been made available for backwards compatibility on the Xbox One. This time around it is one from the Call of Duty franchise: Call of Duty 2.

Originally released back in 2005 for the PC and as a launch title for the Xbox 360, Call of Duty 2 allowed you to go back in time and be a part of World War 2. Playing as the Red Army, United States Army and the British Army, there were 4 different campaigns that totaled a combined 27 missions.

The game received amazing reviews from critics all around and some consider it to be the best Call of Duty game in the franchise. If you want to pick this title up, you can buy it on your Xbox One for about $20 or you can head to your closest game store to pick up the physical copy. But do it quickly, because the games tend to go up in price as they are made backwards compatible.

While fans are happy with this Call of Duty game becoming available, it is not one of the top Call of Duty games that they want to be added to the long list of backwards compatible games. As of right now, several Call of Duty games are on top of the Most Requested Games list. The games on top in order are:

  • Black Ops 2
  • Modern Warfare 2
  • Modern Warfare (Probably won’t happen due to the remaster coming out)
  • Modern Warfare 3

Here is hoping that one day I will be able to play a round of Team Deathmatch on Favela again on my Xbox One.
