This week, I got a chance to play the demo for Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, and I have to say that I enjoyed the bits that I played.

A remake of the classic Sega Genesis, Gamegear, and Saturn platformer, Castle of Illusion stars, of course, Mickey Mouse. The game is full of Disney charm.

This game looks very nice and modern but definitely retains that old school platformer feel. The control scheme is very simple and the goal is just to get through the level.

Castle of Illusion is a very simple game, but it’s because of this that it is very fun. You can jump on your enemies, collect gems, and throw them. You climb tall platforms and try to avoid falling off. It is perfect for young children and platformer fans of any age.

Castle of Illusion will be coming out sometime this year for the XBOX 360, PS3, and PC.
