Time has been flying. It seems like only yesterday we were calling the PlayStation Vita the Next Generation Portable (NGP). However, time moves on and here we are today, 3 years after its release. Now Sony has given a reason for Vita owners to celebrate the release of the handheld system with some free digital items and sales on games on the PlayStation Network.

The free items you can get on your Vita include a Toro and Friends PS Vita Theme, a pack of 8 gold coins for Fat Princess: Piece of Cake, and Himiko, a Spirit from Japanese myth in Destiny of Spirits.

The list of games available for the PlayStation Vita is definitely not lacking. There are 36 titles available for download with some pretty deals. For example you can pick up Sword Art Online for 23.99 ($15.99 for PlayStation Plus members) instead of $39.99 or Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified for $15.00 ($10.00 for Plus members) instead of the original price of $49.99.

Be sure to check out the full sale on the Official Playstation Blog for the entire list of games.
