This Sunday is the ten year anniversary of God of War. The third-person style gameplay of Kratos punishing gods and mythical creatures started all the way back in 2005, when God of War was first released. The game has not only stirred a certain form of awe into players, but also created controversy in the media because of its graphical violence. As the anniversary looms closer and closer, AbleGamers will host a speedrun through the entire series on Friday, March 20th.
AbleGamers is a foundation dedicated to improving the lives of the disabled using the power of video games. Their goal is to make games as accessible as possible, from AAA titles to small indie developers. AbleGamers have already partnered with many companies to make games accessible to disabled gamers everywhere, so that everyone has the opportunity to take advantage of playing video games.
In 2015, AbleGamers have already raised $133,127 on their goal to $250,000. On Friday, AbleGamers will partner with Awesome Games Done Quick, to host “God of War Done Quick” to raise money for charity. This stream can be found on the Playstation Twitch channel, starting from 1pm and running through 9pm. If you want to be part of a huge gaming event while reminiscing over some of the greatest moments in gaming history, then the Playstation Twitch channel is the place to be on Friday.
