Civilization 5: Brave New World will be packing a lot of features that sound more than a little cool. New civilizations, wonders, a culture victory overhaul, and a new tourism facet are all being added to the already robust title that is Civilization 5 with the Gods and Kings expansion.
The featurette trailer above gives a look at used of the new Great Writer and Musician units, along with the Great Artists’ new talent of creating great works and wonders to go toward a civilization’s culture and tourism. We also get a look at the new Archaeology function, which serves to buff up mid-game boost a civilization’s culture.
Brave New World looks to give players a new way to compete past early game outside of wiping each other off the map or becoming far more scientifically advanced than their opponents. The culture system seems to be getting a complete overhaul in this expansion, and the new culture-based victory allows players to win if their culture eclipses out all others.
If the wealth of new features and addition seen in Gods and Kings is any indication, Civilization 5: Brave New World is only going to up the ante on what is already one of the best turn-based 4X titles on the market. Expect to see this beauty hit Steam on July 9.
