The much adored mind-numbing experience of playing through Dark Souls could be making a return as Dark Souls 3 is rumored to be coming out in early 2016. Along with leaked screenshots of gameplay that was supposedly set for its E3 appearance, IGN gained access to a promotional poster that states “Early 2016”.
The image shows a damaged knight running sand through his or her fingers with a desolated city in the background. The armored hero also appears to be wrapped around a piece of burning and tattered cloth.
According to its rumors Dark Souls 3 will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the PC, although the PC port may still be in question. Other comments include that the game will be 1-4 players, but it will also support a PVP battle arena. The new game will include 10 playable classes that you can choose from to start and there will be 45 new enemies along with 15 new bosses with most of these foes not carrying over from past Dark Souls. The game is also rumored to be including many new mechanics and features in its gameplay.
The Dark Souls series received much love around the world for its brutal and unforgiving gameplay, but it was also the reason for the numerous amounts of broken controllers in a gamer’s household. Dark Souls has been notorious for making the player figure out how to play the game on their own while forcing them to learn from their own mistakes. There shouldn’t be any sort of difference with Dark Souls 3 and it should still give everyone what they craved for in older classic games.
