Canadian Developer Behavior Interactive reached a new milestone with Dead by Daylight on mobile. Just two days after Dead by Daylight mobile launched on the Google Play Store and App Store, it’s already been downloaded by more than one million people.

The news comes via an official announcement from Behavior Interactive.

That’s quite the success story for the horror title, though perhaps it’s not too much of a surprise. Behavior Interactive took pains to ensure Dead by Daylight on mobile wasn’t a huge departure from the (very good) original.

Four players try to survive the night as a maniacal murderer tries to hunt them down. The core gameplay is the same in the mobile version as it is for console and PC, and it even includes all the existing content updates.

Mathieu Côté, Dead by Daylight‘s director, said:

We are incredibly thrilled to see the reaction from players all over the globe. Bringing Dead By Daylight to mobile is a great achievement for the company and… We want to thank [players] for their unwavering support of the franchise.

The new mobile playerbase pushes the total number of Dead by Daylight players past the 20 million mark, and Behavior Interactive said it intends to continue bringing new content to all versions of the game.
