Starting from today until November 9th, Bungie is throwing a giant Halloween festival in Destiny. According to lore, it’s known as the Festival of the Lost, and is meant to “honor the shades of the dead”.
From decorations like lanterns and candles to sound effects like cries and howls, Bungie went all out for the players of Destiny to enjoy a spooky celebration.
Special Emotes
Since the Festival of the Lost is a game-wide event, Tess Everis got involved to the point where she’s selling emotes, items, and goodie bags. Below is a list of what you can get that is special to this seasonal event:
- Boo Emote – 300 Silver
- Monster Dance – 500 Silver
- Zombie Dance – 700 Silver
While Zombie Dance is only available on the PS4 and Xbox One, it may look familiar as it resembles Michael Jackson’s Thriller video. The same can be said for Monster Dance, which is some of the moves from the Backstreet Boy’s video for “Everybody” (from the Backstreet’s Back album).
Getting the Special Masks
When it comes to the specialty items, you’ll have to buy Tess’s Treasures of the Lost for 200 Silver, which is a goodie bag filled with mystery items. One of the items guaranteed to be found in Treasures of the Lost is a legendary mask. The masks are linked to the multiple quests that are put in place for the festival, with details below:
- Eva gives a mystery bag called Legacy of the Lost, the “Sweet Memories” quest line, and an empty Candy Satchel for people in the Tower to fill with candy.
- Finish collecting candy, return to Eva and she gives the mystery bag with the mask, and three more quests: “The Masks We Wear”, “Playing Pretend”, and “Face Off”.
- Each of the three quests that become available have to be done while wearing a specific mask.
As unfortunate as it is, to view all of the items from the Festival of the Lost, you have to own the Destiny: The Taken King in addition to the base Destiny game.
