GOG.com has made available three Disney re-release 16-bit games today for a discounted price. These games include The Jungle Book (released 1994) The Lion King (released 1994), and Aladdin (released 1993).
Back in the day, these games held their own and came out as some of the more solid games from the 8-bit and 16-bit era. They controlled well when released and featured eye-catching, colorful graphics. Their innovative soundtracks also caught gamers’ attention. The Jungle Book, Lion King and Aladdin gaming soundtracks have all been uploaded to YouTube.
While most gamers grew up first playing these games on their Segas, now gamers of all ages can either bathe in the nostalgia or enjoy something new from another time. The games have been updated to be compatible with modern operating systems — while keeping intact the graphics, sounds and interactive gameplay.
The games are available for Windows, Mac and Linux. For about the next three days, GOG.com has the games discounted at 10% each, and are available in a bundle discounted at 33%.
