If the sign-up queue to get into Dota 2 put you off of trying your hand at Valve’s ARTS/MOBA title, you’re in luck: downloading the game now provides instant access.
After a few months of the new user queue system, Valve have finally removed it thanks to some server management upgrades and “a huge number of enhancements to the new user experience.”
Those of you familiar with Dota 2 have surely noticed the new additions to the game meant to help new players, such as the coaching system and tutorials. This has helped in making the complexities of the game less daunting for those newly initiated.
Now is a great time to get started with Dota 2 with the aforementioned new player systems and because of the Wraith-Night event, which gives an extra mode to poke at to break up the game’s standard play. A new cosmetic crafting system was also implemented with a patch last month, and this most recent content patch brought a long-awaited hero, Legion Commander, to the game. Now is the best time for the un-initiated to jump in and give Dota 2 a try.
