Dragon’s Crown is an upcoming 2D fantasy action role-playing video game set to launch on the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita in just a short couple of weeks. It is developed by Vanillaware with assistance from Atlus.
Dragon’s Crown is a mainly a sidescroller “beat ’em up” game in which players move their characters across the screen battling various creatures. The player can choose between six different classes – Fighter, Amazon, Elf, Sorceress, Wizard, and Dwarf, with each class having their very own set of unique skills, strengths, and weaknesses, and are customizable to some extent. Psst Sorceress rocks…
But according to some of the concept drawings included, Dragon’s Crown was not always in work for the PS3 and PS Vita.
As Vanillaware president George Kamitani revealed, this is a game he has been wanting to do since the Dreamcast era in 1998 but the opportunity did not present itself.
Well better late than never…
Dragon’s Crown sure looks like fun and will be launched in Japan on August 25, 2013, and is soon to hit US on the 6th of August, and Europe sometime in the fall. It will be launched on the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. Be sure to grab it.
