Ladies and gentlemen, the dust has settled. It took a while to see through the haze, but when it was all said and done, Electronic Arts stood over their opponent’s limp and lifeless body. EA beat out Bank of America with an astounding 77.53%, a landslide victory that left BofA crushed under a mountain of hypothetical rubble.

For 2 years in a row now, Electronic Arts has been voted the absolute worst company in America. Current CEO, Peter Moore, lays the blame squarely on homophobes, and disillusioned fans of the Madden franchise and, “promises to do better”. But is it really a good idea to blame such a small percentage of gamers if the results show a much bigger one hating you?

Whether it’s nickle and diming the consumers, releasing lame and uninspired games, or buying small studios and various IPs only to drive them into the ground and milk them for every last buck, EA has a notorious reputation for being the Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain of the gaming industry, and it looks like they are finally starting to pay the price. So now we celebrate, but let us also remember those lost to us in the past.

A toast to our fallen brethren. May they be long remembered.
