Starting today at 12PM PST, selected individuals will be able to participate in a closed stress test for the Evolve beta on PS4. In order to properly test the servers, 2K and Turtle Rock Studios are asking everyone who’s participating to log on at 2PM PST. The stress test will be open for 24 hours only, ending tomorrow afternoon.
The point of this stress test is to prepare for the larger, closed technical test for PS4 that will run from next Saturday (January 17th) through Monday (January 19th).
The stress test will include the “Hunt” game mode, which is a 4v1 multiplayer mode that allows four hunters to hunt down one monster. It will also provide access to the first two monsters (Goliath and Kraken), as well as the first eight hunters (Bucket, Lazarus, Hyde, Griffin, Val, Markov, Maggie, and Hank). Testers will be able to play on all 12 multiplayer maps that support Hunt mode.
Those who take part in the stress test today will gain access to the larger test next weekend, as long as those players keep the Evolve Beta app installed onto their consoles.
All participating players will have to accept the NDA, meaning they are not allowed to discuss, record, or publicly post about the beta once they begin.
