Fans were very excited to hear about Fallout 4, but it is Fallout Shelter the mobile app, that is taking some of the lime light. Gameindustry.biz officially reported that Fallout Shelter landed in the top three games in the UK and US app stores. This makes the game more popular than the ever-popular game, Candy Crush, which has been in the top three for the past three years.

The reason for Fallout Shelter’s success is cost. This app is free. That means if you want to play it, all you have to do is click the “download” button. The only thing that isn’t free in the game is lunch boxes, which contain random items. It’s also successful thanks to Fallout’s loyal fan base.

A New Beginning?

Since Fallout Shelter is so successful, this could lead to a potential mobile app series for Bethesda. You can expect more updates, items, and creation options as the game continues, and if they create a sequel in the future, expect even more.

With the game breaking even more boundaries, the only question is what will Bethesda do next?
