Even though Atlus has moved the release date for Persona 5 to Summer 2016, they have been flooding fans with information and screenshots.

It seems that Famitsu has recently been given an inside scoop on how Persona 5 is doing at the moment. Luckily, Dualshockers has scanned the images for all the Persona fans to view. A lot of these pictures show off gameplay, which looks as gorgeous and fun as ever. There are also some that are devoted to the newest charecter revealed in the cast: Yusuke Kitagawa. His Persona is named Goemon, and clearly he is also part of the Phantom Thieves, as he has been shown wearing a fox mask and tail.

Yusuke and Goemon

For those not familiar with the plot of Persona 5, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts is the group of main charecters the plot will focus on. Their misson? To steal the hearts, metaphorically speaking, of corrupt individuals and free the world of the influence of those corrupt individuals. How exactly they accomplish this has yet to be revealed.

Speaking of the plot, Katsura Hashino, the director of Persona 5, has previously stated that the Persona team is “going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance.” Hashino commented on the differences between Persona 4 and 5:

“In the previous game, we wrote a story that invovled having a justice group chase down a bad guy that could easily be feared by just about anyone. This time, it’s about a group of high school students that are being ‘chased’ by unexpected occurances due to the justice they believe in.”

I am the Shadow Could this be Ryuji’s shadow?

Hopefully Atlus will continue to roll out the information about Persona 5 as the year goes on. So stay tuned! For all of the screenshots used in Famitsu, check out the Dualshockers website.

The first game I can remember playing was either Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64 or the first Harry Potter computer game. The first console/gaming device I can remember owning was a Gameboy Advance and I loved my Pokemon Silver game to death.
