Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl Gold, one of Level 5’s more recent creations, is heading to Nintendo Switch on February 14. A new trailer shows some of the game’s signature quirkiness in action.
As Snack World‘s subtitle indicates, this is a dungeon-crawling, loot-grabbing game to the core. The trailer shows off some of the extensive character customization options at your disposal before diving right into the dungeons.
The goal in each dungeon is fighting all the monsters and gathering as much loot as possible. Diablo-light with an emphasis on “light.” Characters rely on a range of over-the-top skills to take on equally over-the-top foes. Like all good looters, you’ll be using what you gather and scavenge to craft better gear and take on tougher dungeons.
They’re all food themed, naturally, from the Succotash Sands to the home base of Tutti-Frutti Kingdom. They also tend to draw on mythology for inspiration, as we see characters exploring Greek temples and facing off against monsters of legend, like Medusa.
Despite having set themes, each dungeon is randomly generated and, as such, will be different each time you plunge in for more loot.
Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl Gold launches on February 14 for Nintendo Switch, and it’s one we’ll be keeping a close eye on. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Snack World news as it’s cooked up.
