Final Fantasy 7 First Soldier Beta Registration Open Now

The FF7 First Soldier beta goes live soon, and here's how you can register for it.

Registration for the Final Fantasy 7 First Solider closed beta is live now, Square Enix announced. The First Soldier beta will take place through the Google Play store from June 1 through June 7, and pre-registration is open until May 28.

Final Fantasy 7 First Solider should probably be called Final Fantasy 7 Last Solider because it’s about fighting to be the last Solider, not the first one. Anyway, it’s the first ever Final Fantasy battle royale, giving you heaps of classic FF magic and weapons at your disposal.

You’ll pick from Warrior, Monk, or Sorcerer style and put each style’s abilities to good use, but other Soldiers aren’t the only thing to worry about. Monsters and other foul beasts roam around outside Midgar, and you’ll need to deal with the threat they pose as well.

Defeating them earns experience points used to rank up equipment and unlock new weapons.

Square Enix showed off First Solider in action in a recent Twitch stream, and that and the beta will have to do for now. There’s no Final Fantasy 7 First Soldier release date as yet, but fret not. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is out just after the beta ends.
