Final Fantasy 7 Remake Could Gobble Up a Chunk of Your Hard Drive

What looks to be a photo of a PS4 case might have revealed the file size of the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Bad news for those of us with no more space on our PS4 hard drives. It looks as though the file size for Square’s long-awaited JRPG remake, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, could have a 100GB install size. Which is, well … that’s a lot of file sizem rivaling Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2

This seemingly believable rumor comes off of the back of a tweet from Nitomatta on Twitter, who tweeted out a photo of the back of an alleged FF7 Remake PS4 cover.

One can easily see on the “HDD” section on the box, which reads 100GB.

Of course, this all makes perfect sense given that the game has also been said to cover two Blu-ray discs, each of which can only hold up to 50GB of data.

It’s highly likely that this file size comes from the sheer volume of pretty content held within the game, all of which takes up a fair bit of space. It is also worth keeping in mind that this is still just a rumor, and the 100GB file size is not indicative of the length of the game or even the content within it.
