Final Fantasy XIV‘s 2.1 patch, aptly named A Realm Awoken, is making its way to players December 17th. With only nine days left to go, Square Enix has decided to give us a look at what’s to come in 10-minute trailer form.
The trailer covers the majority of new content coming in the 2.1 patch and gives a preview of some of the new battles to come to level 50 players.
You can check the 2.1 trailer out above, but if you’re interested in particular aspects of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Awoken, here’s a list of features shown with their respective times shown:
- 0:30 – Crystal Tower – Labyrinth of the Ancients

- 1:46 – Gridanian housing (Lavender Beds)
- 2:03 – Ul’dan housing (The Goblet)
- 2:18 – Lominsan housing (Mist)

Whew! That’s a lot of content. Will this be enough to keep the hordes of level 50s busy post-patch? With a lot more than the current five dungeons and three primals level have to offer, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Awoken seems able to keep all but the fastest content grinders busy for quite some time.
